Sweetwater is a contemporary art gallery founded in Berlin, Germany in 2018 with an international roster of artists and a program dedicated to conceptual practices across media, developed through uncompromising exhibitions. The gallery has an unwavering, long-term commitment to its artists and their development, supporting their practices through continual advocacy for their work. In addition to a regular exhibition program in the gallery, Sweetwater also participates in offsite projects and art fairs across Europe, the United States, and Asia. The gallery currently represents fourteen artists: Christopher Aque, Marina Grize, Friedemann Heckel, Alexandre Khondji, Morten Knudsen, Sofia Defino Leiby, Luzie Meyer, D'Ette Nogle, Kayode Ojo, Megan Plunkett, Jesse Stecklow, Hanna Stiegeler, Constantin Thun and Bill Walton.

The gallery began operations on the third floor at Kottbusser Damm 7, a former apartment building converted to offices in the Kreuzberg neighborhood of Berlin. Between September 2018 and January 2021, Sweetwater presented solo exhibitions by Kayode Ojo, Christopher Aque, Jesse Stecklow, Gaby Sahhar, Luzie Meyer, Constantin Thun, and D’Ette Nogle at the space, as well as a number of group exhibitions.

In April 2021, the gallery moved to Leipziger Straße 56-58, part of the Komplex Leipziger Straße. In addition to multiple group exhibitions, Sweetwater hosted solo exhibitions on Leipziger Straße by Kayode Ojo, Christopher Aque, Sofia Defino Leiby, Luzie Meyer, HC, Megan Plunkett, Jesse Stecklow, Rhea Dillon, Hanna Stiegeler, Bill Walton, Friedemann Heckel, Constantin Thun, Hanna Hur, and Marina Grize.

In summer 2026, Sweetwater announced the gallery's relocation to New York, with a new location to be announced in early 2027.
